Hawai‘i Police Department’s Area II Community Policing Officers are holding three Coffee with a Cop events in Kona throughout November as part of the department’s ongoing community outreach efforts.

Members of the public are invited to attend these informal and popular events as a way to get to know their district police officers. This casual event has no agenda and topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

“We enjoy interacting with the public and hearing what they have to say. We never know what topics they will bring up,” says community policing officer Dwayne Sluss.

This month’s Kona Coffee With a Cop events take place at the following dates and locations from 8 – 10 a.m.:

  • Wednesday, November 9, at the Kona Haven Coffee Co., at the Coconut Grove Marketplace, 75-5805 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  • Friday, November 18, at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Dr. Kailua-Kona.
  • Friday, November 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Coffee & Tea, located at 74-5588 Palani Rd. Kailua-Kona.

If you have any questions regarding Coffee With a Cop events, please contact Kona Community Policing at (808) 326-4646 Ext. 257, 258, or 259.
