Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 31-year-old Gary Silva-Evangelista, who was reporting as missing. He has not been seen or heard from by his family since 2019. Silva-Evangelista has been known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas of Hawai‘i Island, as well as the Island of Kaua‘i.

Silva-Evangelista is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Silva-Evangelista’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Detective Casey Cabral of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2384 or email Casey.Cabral@hawaiicounty.gov.
