MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are looking for a 16-year-old boy who has been missing from his residence in Honokaa, Hamakua, since April 3, 2002.

The youth was identified as Kayza Kanekoa. He is described as being of Hawaiian-Chinese descent, being 5-feet-3 in height, weighing about 125 pounds with a slim build and having a tan complexion with close-cut brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Kualii of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
