Big Island police are looking for a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since Friday (June 7, 2002) from the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in South Kohala.

The girl was identified as Kimberly Brook Ewing, who was last seen about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the hotel’s lobby.

Ewing, a guest at the hotel, is described as a Caucasian, being 5-feet-2 in height, weighing about 110 pounds with a medium build and having a fair complexion, long straight blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing denim shorts and a white unknown type of top. She also may have been wearing a two-piece turquoise swimsuit.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the South Kohala police at 887-3080 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
