Hawai‘i Island police report that its communications center is having electrical issues affecting the 9-1-1 call system. There is limited phone service at this time.

Police are still able to answer calls and provide service, but advise the public to anticipate slight delays. Should callers be unable to reach 9-1-1, please contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or your local police station listed below.

Honokaʻa Station (Hāmākua District)
