Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Kaimana Mata-Keohuloa, who was reported as a runaway.

Mata-Keohuloa was last seen on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in the Hilo area wearing a white headband, white jacket, black jeans pants, and white Nike shoes. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Ocean View areas.

Mata-Keohuloa is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. 

Police ask anyone with information about Mata-Keohuloa’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Corey Kaneko at 808-961-8843 or email: corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.
