Media Release 

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Daniel Soares of Mountain View, who was reported as a runaway.

Soares was last seen on Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2021, in the Fern Acres subdivision in Mountain View. He is described as being 5’-4” tall, 100 – 120 pounds, with reddish brown hair and brown eyes. Soares was last observed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and unknown colored shorts. 

Police ask anyone with information on Soares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
