3-18-21 Police Ask for Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Puna Woman

Media Release 

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 27-year-old Dareece Soares of Kurtistown, who was reported missing by her family. She was last seen on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. at a residence in Kurtistown.

Soares is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with dark brown eyes and long black hair extending past the shoulder. She was last seen wearing a black top, jeans, black shoes, and a white backpack-style purse. Soares has a traditional Japanese style tattoo consisting of koi fish and flowers on her left arm extending just past sleeve length and a tattoo of a dove on her right shoulder blade. 

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
