Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Alaka‘i Kali, of Hilo, who was reported as a runaway.

Kali was last seen in the area of Lokahi Circle in Hilo on Sunday night, April 9, 2023, wearing a white t-shirt, dark green camouflage swim shorts, and possibly carrying a small black backpack.

He is described as Hawaiian with a medium complexion and thin build, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, with straight shoulder length black hair and brown eyes. 

Police ask anyone with information on Kali’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Lawrence Kobayashi at Lawrence.kobayashi@hawaiicounty.gov.
