Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Esteban Dehoyos who is wanted for an outstanding warrant totaling $19,000 for assault in the second degree.

Known to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts, Dehoyos is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 170 pounds, with long curly brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311 or Lieutenant Robert P. Pauole at (808) 961-2254 or via email at robert.pauole@hawaiicounty.gov. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
