Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Kelis Garmon-Mercado who was reported as a runaway.

Garmon-Mercado is described as Caucasian, about 5’08” tall, 317 pounds, large build, brown shoulder length curly hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. wearing brown shorts, a brown shirt with a maroon hoodie wrapped around her waist, and rubber slippers. She was also carrying a teal back pack.

Police ask anyone with information on Garmon-Mercado’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
