Hawai‘i Island police are continuing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 46-year-old Derek Lee Aiona, who was reported missing two years ago.

Aiona was last seen in the Puna district on Monday, August 10, 2020, and is known to frequent the areas of Mountain View and Hawaiian Paradise Park in the district of Puna.

Aiona is described as being Hawaiian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 220 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Aiona’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
