Media Release

As part of their ongoing efforts to stay engaged with the Hawai‘i Island community, the Hawai‘i Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section invites area residents to attend “Coffee with a Cop” on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Waimea Coffee Company, 65-1279 Kawaihae Road.

These popular police outreach events are a great opportunity for community members to engage in conversation with their district police officers over a cup of coffee. Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to answering questions or even discussing neighborhood or community issues.

This particular Coffee With a Cop falls during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Officers will have resource information available on both topics at this event.

Please contact the South Kohala Community Policing Section at (808) 887-3080 if you have any questions.
