9-24-21 Police Seeking Suspects and Vehicle Involved in Kona Robbery

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle and three male suspects that were involved in a robbery that occurred within a parking lot of a business in the 74-5000 block of Makala Blvd in Kailua-Kona.

Shortly after 11 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, a 19-year-old man reported that multiple unknown male suspect(s) removed his vehicle from the parking lot after a brief altercation. All three suspects are described as local males of unknown height and weight, two of them were wearing full face masks. One of the suspects followed victim’s stolen car as it left the scene. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a light colored four-door sedan.

The victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Puna, however the investigation is still ongoing and police are searching for the suspect’s vehicle, as well as the three suspects.
