Bomb Threat Proves False 09-16-01

MEDIA RELEASE

An unknown suspect called in a false bomb threat at the Prince Kuhio Plaza about 4:15 p.m. Sunday (September 16, 2001).

Shopping center security personnel conducted checks of the area, but found nothing.

The shopping center was not evacuated during the security check.

Police are reminding residents that bomb threats are classified as Class C felonies punishable by five years in prison.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine who is responsible for the calling in the bomb threat.
