Big Island police are looking for a burglary suspect who entered a Captain Cook home on May 26 and was confronted by the homeowner, an 87-year-old woman.

The suspect was described as an Asian male teenager about 5-foot-5, 150 pounds with black hair and a slim build. He fled on foot into coffee land behind the home.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call Detective Walter Ah Mow at 326-4646, extension 238, or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
