A community police officer investigating a number of burglaries in the South Kona area has arrested three juvenile suspects and recovered items stolen in the thefts.

As a result of an investigation begun March 5, 2002, Community Policing Officer Stan Haanio arrested the suspects on Wednesday (March 13, 2002) and recovered all of the items taken in the six burglaries.

The recovered items included assorted custom jewelry, two air rifles, stereo equipment and speakers, a paint ball gun and accessories, collector coins and a double-barrel 12-gauge shotgun.

The juvenile suspects were released to their parents’ custody.
