Still more items recovered in burglary investigation 03-14-02

MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

South Kohala police officers have recovered additional items taken in burglaries recently occurring at homes in the Waikoloa area of South Kohala.

The items were recovered as part of a continuing investigation conducted by Officer Thomas Fratinardo of the South Kohala Patrol District.

Additional items recovered include a digital camera, additional women’s jewelry, Sony Play Station accessories, miscellaneous Play Station games and compact discs. Stolen during three burglaries, the recovered items were valued at more than $1,100.

Along with items previously recovered in the course of the current burglary investigations, the total value of recovered merchandise is now estimated at more than $8,500. In addition, all the jewelry recovered from the burglaries has now been identified.

Police have identified two juvenile suspects who were allegedly involved in the burglaries.

The police department also thanked members of the public for their cooperation and assistance in providing information to help identify the owners of the jewelry that previously had been unaccounted for.
