The Kona police station will be extending its hours for firearms registration beginning next month.

Effective May 1, the hours for firearms registration at the Kona station will be 8:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

(The firearms registration offices in all districts will be closed May 3 and June 7 for county furloughs and on all county holidays.)
