The Hawaii Isle Police Activities League is sponsoring the 21st annual HI-PAL Winter Basketball Classic to be held December 26-29, 2001, in Hilo.

Five different age divisions will play at five different gyms around Hilo and in Papaikou. The divisions are Boys 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14; and Girls 12 Under and Girls 14 Under.

In the past, 85 teams from around the State of Hawaii and from California have participated and enjoyed a high level of competition.

Teams interested in taking part in the tournament are asked to call 961-220 or 961-2219 to register. The deadline for entry is December 5, 2001.
