Big Island police seized a total of 1,033 marijuana plants ranging in height from seedlings to four feet during the past two days as part of its continuing “Counter-Cannabis Field Operation.”

The marijuana eradication effort, which ended Thursday was conducted in the Ka’u, Kona and North and South Kohala districts.

Personnel from the Kona Vice Section, State Department of Land and Natural Resources and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration took part in the operation.

No major incidents were reported and no arrests were made.
