On August 23, 2010 at approximately 6:54 p.m., Kona police responded to a report of a shot fired in a residential area in Kailua-Kona.

Upon arrival, witnesses related that a 30-year-old neighbor fired a shotgun from his balcony following an altercation with neighbors. Police arrested the man for Reckless Endangering and recovered the firearm.

Kona Criminal Investigation detectives are continuing the investigation.
