Big Island police are searching for a 41-year old North Kohala man who was reported missing.

Michael Torres of Kapa’au was last seen on Friday, May 21. He had informed his mother that he was going to a graduation party on Saturday May 22nd and hasn’t been heard from since.

He is described as part Hawaiian, 5-foot-10, 375 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Torres frequents the South Kohala area and may be in Waimea.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Officer John Kahalioumi at 889-6540 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
