Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 54-year-old Puna woman who was reported missing Monday (May 12).

Sophie B. Moon of Hawaiian Paradise Park was last seen at 6:45 p.m. Sunday (May 11).

She is described as Caucasian, 5-feet tall, 150 pounds with blue eyes and thick, medium-length brown hair. She wears glasses and usually wears jeans and a cotton shirt.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
