Big Island police are advising Hilo motorists to be on the lookout for runners taking part in the Hawaii Police Commemorative Fund Shige 5K fun run on Sunday (May 10, 2003).

The fun run will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in Hilo’s Keaukaha area.

The run will begin at the Kawananakoa Gym parking lot on Baker Avenue, turn right on Kalanianaole Street to Lokoaka Street, turn around and end at the gymnasium parking lot.

During the fun run, no streets will be blocked, but police officers will provide traffic control at crossing points.
