Big Island police have called off a search for a 45-year-old Puna man after learning he was arrested in California, where he was wanted for parole violation.

The man was identified as Victor Lynn Myles, whose last known address was in Pahoa.

On December 20, 2004, police issued a public request for information on the whereabouts of Myles, who was wanted for contempt of court.
