On 12-09-00 at 03:30 a.m. Puna Police responded to a reported robbery at a residence in the Keaau Farm lots subdivision. It was determined that an unknown male party brandishing a knife entered a residence and demanded money and vehicle keys from the 37 year old victim. The suspect fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, a 1979 white Chevy panel van #283-HCC, with aluminum lumber racks.

The suspect is described as being 5’4″ – 5’7″, medium build, shoulder length hair, with a Mexican accent. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Puna Police at 966-5835 or the Hilo Investigation Section at 961-2255.
