MEDIA RELEASE

Kona police Saturday (October 2, 1999) recovered the skeletal remains of an unknown individual in a remote area of Kailua-Kona.

Responding to a 12:45 p.m. call, police located the remains at the end of Kamaka Eha Street.

Neither the identity of the person nor the cause of death could be determined immediately.

Kona Criminal Investigation Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
