Suspect charged in burglary attempt 07-25-05

MEDIA RELEASE

Aaron Luke Hughes, 18, of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, has been arrested and charged with second-degree attempted burglary and fourth-degree criminal property damage for allegedly trying to break into the Pohue Plaza Gift Store in HOVE on July 15, 2005.

Hughes and an accomplice were caught on video tape from the store camera while attempting to enter by kicking in the rear door. The second suspect is being sought for questioning and faces similar charges.

Hughes was released after posting $1,000 bail.

KaÕu Patrol Officer Donald Hall is continuing the investigation.
