North Kohala Police have arrested a 16-year-old Kapaau male in connection with a rash of burglaries and graffiti damage to businesses in the Kapaau and Hawi area from April 24 through August 14.

The boy, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, was charged Monday (August 14, 2006) with eight counts of criminal property damage and five counts of burglary. He has been released into the custody of his parents.

The case will be sent to Family Court.
