The Hawaii Police Department received a report at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (February 28) that a tornado touched down in the Pahala area.

It tore off approximately 100 feet of roof from Ka’u High School’s main structure. The cost to repair the damages is unknown at this time.

No deaths or injuries were reported from the incident.
