MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Police have reopened Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) to normal traffic after closing it for nearly an hour because a tanker truck struck the Papaikou highway overpass and overturned.

The accident, which occurred about 2 p.m. Wednesday (January 29, 2003) near Kalanianaole School, forced police to divert traffic around the town.
