Haouli "Ikaika" Silva
…wanted for a sexual assault

Big Island Police are still asking for the public’s help in locating a 20-year-old suspect wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile female last year.

The suspect was identified as Hauoli "Ikaika" Silva. He is known to frequent the Puna District and may be in the Kona District.

Silva is described as part Hawaiian, 5-foot-11, about 200 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.

Police consider Silva armed and dangerous and caution members of the public against approaching or attempting to apprehend him.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Detective Benton Bolos at 961-8883, or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
