Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Kulia Uaiwa-Penn, who was reported as a runaway. Due to her age, she is considered an endangered missing person.

Uaiwa-Penn was last seen near the 1000-block of Ululani Street in Hilo on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 12:10 p.m. 

She was last seen wearing a red polo t-shirt, red fleece jacket, khaki shorts, and white shoes. 

Uaiwa-Penn is part-Hawaiian with a tan complexion, 5 feet 3 inches tall, about 130 pounds, with long, black hair and brown eyes. 

Police ask anyone with information about Uaiwa-Penn’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
