Media Release

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for 38-year-old Daniel Martinsen who was last seen by family members at his residence located on 15th Avenue, in Kea’au on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. 

He is described as being 5’07” tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, having a light complexion with short light brown hair, brown eyes, and having an unshaven beard and mustache. Martinsen often wears a t-shirt, shorts and slippers. He has a tribal band tattoo on his left upper bicep and he also has an “Irish Trinity” tattoo.

Martinsen is known to frequent the lower Puna area and may possibly be operating a 2020, gray in color, Toyota Tundra which has State of New Mexico license plates on it.

Police ask anyone with information on Martinsen’s location to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
