Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Kailea Kekipi of Hilo, who was reported as a runaway earlier this month. Due to her age, she is considered endangered.

Kekipi was last seen in the 1100 block of Waianuenue Avenue in Hilo, on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:20 p.m. wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and silver-colored hoop earrings.

She is known to frequent Hilo areas, such as Banyan Drive and a retail shopping center in the 100 block of Puainako Street.

She is described as Asian/Hawaiian, 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Aaron Abalos at aaron.abalos@hawaiicounty.gov.
