MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Kona Criminal Investigation Section detectives have charged a 37-year-old Holualoa man with murder in the stabbing death of his younger brother during a domestic dispute.

Paul Somalinog was charged at 11:15 a.m. Sunday (April 23, 2000). He is being held in the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Somalinog allegedly stabbed his brother, Keevin Somalinog, 33, in the chest with a kitchen carving knife Saturday during a dispute at a Holualoa residence.

The victim was transported to the Kona Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:14 p.m. Saturday.
