MEDIA RELEASE

On May 31, 2001, at 9:00 a.m., Hilo Vice and Criminal Intelligence Unit Officers, with the assistance of the State Narcotics Enforcement Division, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Customs, and Immigration and Naturalization Service, executed a search warrant upon a residence located at 17-211 Palaai Street, in Keaau, Hawaii.

The search of the residence resulted in the recovery of 1 ounce of crystal methamphetamine or “ice”, 3 ounces of cocaine, more than 1 ounce of marijuana and $711.00 in U.S. currency. Vice Officers also recovered a 1998 two-door Honda Civic sedan for forfeiture.

A 26-year-old female, two 30-year-old males, and a 20-year-old female, all of the above address were arrested. All four parties have been released from police custody pending further investigation.
