Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the owner of a box with contents that was turned in to police as found property on August 24. The box was discovered in a parking lot on Anela Street in South Hilo and has a distinctive illustration on the cover.

Police ask anyone with information about this box to call Officer Paul Mangus at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
